About ICT BTEC national diploma

One of the courses at swansea college out of many to suit your intrest is the ICT BTEC national diploma. this is an all coursework course wich means no exams althought there are 18 units to be looked at 9 in the first year and 9 in the second year. Some of the unints units include Computer Programming, Multimedia, Expert Systems, Systems Analysis, Database, Web Design, E-commerce and Operating Systems. Because there are no exams all assignments are ssessed by the submission of a portfolio at the end of each unit. Students are given the opportunity to improve in any unit. Two units are externally assessed by the examination board.

Course qualifications

when students have successfully completed this course it is eaqual to 3 A/levels or enought UCAS points to go to into higher education. this course also can able students to enter the workplace after this course where it skills are needed.

Entry Requirements

students requre 4 GCSEs at a grade C or above equivalent IT qualification. Good IT and a math qualifications are good for this course. all students will be interveiwed by the IT staff.
